Its the largest freshwater body in the state of Ohio and one of the largest in the country. Haven't been there in 5+ years but my method was to wade in the far side off the dam where no one else was fishing. The Punderson lake is in Punderson state park area in Newbury township near Cleveland and Akron. During Spring and Fall, Trout cruise the near-shore transitions of lakes. Have fished there for years, small spoons like a thomas eel work very well from the breast of the Dam as well as inline spinners like a rooster tail, soon as the ice is off you can pretty much wade the entire lake and there are some BIG trout in the lake, small crank baits work very well when the water is cold because they can be worked very slowly, have not been there yet this year but if the ice is off the lake give it a try, also it is one of the Coldest places to fish this time of year and it always seems to be windy which is a good thing, calm flat water is never a good thing on that lake.
